Officer Hannibal has been with the police department since April of 2008. He is a native of Passaic, NJ, and later moved to LaGrange, GA. He graduated from Troup County High School in 2002 a nationally ranked wrestler, and all-state football player which earned him a full athletic scholarship to Mississippi State University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and completed the Criminal Justice and Corrections program in 2007. He completed his basic law enforcement training at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer's Training Academy in Pearl, MS.
Officer Hannibal played in 34 games during his Mississippi State football career, contributing primarily on special teams but seeing increasingly extensive work as a reserve along the defensive line. He made 24 tackles, including five tackles for loss (minus 36 yards), four of which were quarterback sacks (minus 32 yards). He also caused a pair of fumbles. He red shirted his true freshman season, and came to the Bulldogs following an all-state high school career in Georgia. In his free time he enjoys fishing, horseback riding, camping, and weight lifting.
