Laurie Edwards grew up in Madison, MS, graduating from Madison-Ridgeland High School in 1991. After working various full-time jobs, including three years at the Jackson Zoological Park as a large carnivore keeper, she decided to continue her education at MSU. In 2007, Laurie earned her B.A in Sociology with a Criminal Justice certificate. Presently, she is a graduate student in Sociology and plans to continue to earn her Ph.D. Laurie is a member of the Mu Epsilon Kappa, MSU Anime Club, and the Sociology Honors Society.
