Michael Simmons joined the MSUPD earlier in 2004. HE is a native of Eupora, MS and a 1984 graduate of Eupora High School. Officer Simmons is a former member of the MSU Football team and 1999 graduate of MSU where he received a B.A. in Sociology with a certificate in Corrections. Officer Simmons received his Law Enforcement training at the Mississippi Delta Community College Law Enforcement Training Academy in Moorhead, MS. He graduated from there in August 2001. He is currently assigned to the Investigations Division. Officer Simmons enjoys golf, basketball, football and spending time with his family.
