Officer Turner has been a member of the police department since 1981. He was promoted to the rank of Officer in 1997. He is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a 1977 graduate of Starkville High School. Officer Turner completed his basic law enforcement training at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy at Pearl, Mississippi. Officer Turner is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology. Officer Turner has received specialized training in Police Traffic RADAR, Traffic Accident Reconstruction, Crime Scene Investigation, Drug Interdiction, and Standardized Field Sobriety Investigation. Officer Turner is married and has one child. He enjoys photography and participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation in his leisure time.
