Officer Donald Yates started his Law enforcement career in 1996 as a part time Officer with the Eupora Police Department and also a Webster County Deputy Sheriff. In July of 1997 Officer Yates was hired as a full time deputy and went to the Police Academy at Pearl, MS. After graduating from the Police Academy and returning to the Sheriff’s Department, Officer Yates was promoted to Chief Deputy where he served until December of 1999. In January of 2000 Officer Yates worked for a brief period with the 2000 Officer Yates accepted a position at the Eupora Police Department. During Officer Yates tenure at the Eupora Police Department Yates worked through the ranks as Patrolman, Corporal, Sergeant and Assistant Chief of Police. Yates also was the K-9 Officer from 2003-2006 when he left employment and took a position with the MSU Police Department.
